BC Sheet Metal Contractors Association
Visit: SMACNA-BC Formed in 1969, the British Columbia Sheet Metal Association (SMACNA-BC) was the first international chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors' National Association. Since then, SMACNA-BC has been one of the leading construction associations in British Columbia, Canada.
As the first international chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air-conditioning Contractor's National Association, the BC chapter required a modern site to reflect its prestige in the industry. The new site was designed to increase member services offered online, making it easier for the association to manage.
Project Objectives
The new website had to be upgraded to include a membership manager complete with online profiles, a member-only area for accessing a host of member-only services, an online publications store, and a user-friendly interface for the association to post news items to the homepage. The graphic design of the original website was re-used in order to provide continuity for members and the association executive board.

Results
SMACNA-BC went from having an outdated website that was cumbersome to update and provided limited services to members, to a modern, sleek new website. The Association has the web technology foundation to meet future demand for online member services and to quickly adapt to change.
